Kasba Peth, 26th November 2024: The newly elected MLA from Kasba Peth Constituency has quickly become active and today toured the constituency along with officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). After the tour, Rasane interacted with the press. With the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections just concluded, Rasane expressed his desire for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis to once again become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

The Mahayuti alliance secured a clear majority, while the Mahavikas Aghadi suffered a humbling defeat in the Maharashtra elections. Even Ravindra Dhangekar, the sitting MLA of Kasba Peth who gained significant recognition for his victory against Rasane in the 2023 by-elections in BJP’s stronghold, was defeated by Rasane in the second round. After the intense battle, Rasane wasted no time and had already begun working.

When asked who he thinks will be the CM this time, Rasane replied, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Amit Shah, JP Nadda, and other key leaders in Mahayuti, will decide who will be the CM. However, as a BJP activist, I wish for my leader, Devendra Fadnavis, to be the CM.”

Rasane also discussed his campaign promise of a garbage-free Kasba Peth, revealing that the initiative has already started. He mentioned that since 7 AM today, he has been inspecting various areas in the constituency, issuing necessary instructions, and that a report will be ready in about a week. He emphasised that a new campaign for a Garbage-Free Kasba Peth has begun and urged citizens to cooperate.
