Pimpri-Chinchwad, 30th November 2024: In a shocking incident, a man in a live-in relationship allegedly murdered his girlfriend with the assistance of his wife and brother-in-law. The Wakad police arrested the primary accused, Dinesh Thombre, along with his wife, Pallavi Thombre, and her brother, Avinash Tile, for their involvement in the conspiracy and cover-up.

According to police, Dinesh, who works as a supervisor with an AC maintenance firm, had been living with the victim, Jayshree More, in a live-in relationship for five years. The couple also had a two-and-a-half-year-old son. Recently, tensions escalated between the pair, with Jayshree demanding to live separately and insisting on financial support. She also wanted to meet Dinesh’s wife to resolve matters.

On Sunday, November 24, Jayshree met Pallavi at Bhumkar Chowk, accompanied by their child. During the meeting, an argument broke out between Jayshree and Dinesh. Despite efforts to mediate the dispute in a car, Jayshree remained adamant. In a fit of rage, Dinesh struck Jayshree on the head with a hammer, killing her in front of his wife and child.

Following the murder, Pallavi called her brother, Avinash, for help in disposing of the body. The trio, along with the child, transported Jayshree’s body to Khambatki Ghat in Satara district, where they abandoned it. The next day, on November 25, they abandoned the child in the Kartiki Yatra crowd in Alandi. The child was later found by the police, which led to the unraveling of the case.

Initially, Dinesh reported Jayshree as missing to the Wakad police. However, the Satara police discovered her body, prompting a deeper investigation. Upon uncovering inconsistencies in Dinesh’s statements, the Wakad police apprehended him, Pallavi, and Avinash.

The trio has been charged with murder, conspiracy, and the abandonment of a minor. Assistant Police Inspector Subhash Chavan is investigating the case further.
