Pune: MIDC Officials and Industrial Associations Hold Joint Meeting to Address Concerns

Pune, 6th January 2025: A joint meeting between representatives of various industrial associations and officials from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) was held to discuss issues in industrial areas and potential solutions. The meeting, chaired by MIDC’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shivaji Patil, took place at the MIDC office in Pune.

Representatives from industrial associations in Pimpri, Chinchwad, Bhosari, Hinjawadi, Chakan, Talegaon, and Ranjangaon attended the meeting. Key attendees included Sudhanwa Kopardekar, Sandeep Belsare, Govind Pansare, Dilip Batwal, Vineet More, Abhay Bhor, Ravi Chaudhary, Sunil Peshwani, Arvind Deshmukh, Rupesh Shah, Jayant Kad, Sushil Jore, and Santosh Budhe.

MIDC officials present included Regional Officer Sachin Barawkar, Archana Pathare, Executive Engineer Sanjay Indule, and Deputy Engineers Patil and Kardile.

The industrial associations presented their concerns and demands to Dr. Patil. The discussions focused on several key issues:

1. Relocating slums from MIDC land in Pimpri Chinchwad and allocating the space to small entrepreneurs.
2. Introducing Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus services in MIDC areas.
3. Establishing a fire station in the Chikhali and Kudalwadi areas.
4. Implementing immediate measures to address traffic congestion in Chakan.
5. Improving road connectivity for Endurance Company to MIDC Phase 2 and 5 in Chakan.
6. Allocating additional space for water treatment plants to curb Indrayani River pollution.
7. Urgently opening an Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) hospital for workers in the Chakan area.

Dr. Patil assured the attendees that the government would provide comprehensive support to create a conducive environment for businesses to operate. The association representatives expressed gratitude to P. Velarasu, Chief Executive Officer of MIDC, for initiating this meeting.
