Pune: Two Youths Attacked with Koyta in Bibvewadi
Bibvewadi, 7th January 2025: A heated argument escalated into violence in the Bibvewadi area when two youths were attacked with a Koyta (chopper). The incident left one person seriously injured, and police have arrested two individuals on charges of attempted murder.
The victim, Gaurav Rajesh Markad (24), a resident of Upper Indiranagar, Bibwewadi, filed a complaint with Bibwewadi Police Station. According to the police, the accused, identified as Saksham Bagade and Sagar Saroj, invited Gaurav and his friend to Shivtej Krida Sangh Chowk on Monday around 4:30 pm under the pretext of resolving a prior argument. However, the meeting turned violent as the accused attacked Gaurav and his friend with a Koyta, leaving both severely injured.
Police Inspector Manoj Kumar Londhe, who is leading the investigation, confirmed that the accused fled the scene but were later apprehended by the police. .
