St. Patrick’s ‘A’ top hockey league
Pune, 19th February 2025: St Patrick’s ‘A’ proved to be a superior side and claimed the hockey event of the St. Vincent’s Junior League at the St Vincent’s H.S ground 2024-25.
In final analysis, St. Patrick’s topped the league with 14 points (4 wins, 2 draws), while Loyola ‘B’ claimed second spot 13 points (4 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw). Host’s St Vincent’s ‘A’ claimed third place with 12 points (3 wins, 3 draws).
In the concluding Week-6 of the league Loyola ‘A’ got the better of Dastur 6-0 after Amey Garad (3) starred for the winners. Aahil Pathan (2) and Shourya Moze were the other scorers..
In another encounter, St. Vincent’s ‘A’ upset Loyola ‘B’ 2-0. Clyde Andrews and Zohan Shaikh netted for hosts St. Vincent’s. Loyola ‘B’: 1 had Mark Das reduce the margin.
Later, the prizes were given away by Chief Guest for the day Rev. Fr. Dr Kenneth Misquitta, in the presence of Fr. Andrew Fernandes, Principal Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Mrs Sangeeta Das and Principal St. Vincent’s H.S, Fr. Titus who was the guest of honours.
Later, Dr Wilson Andrews delivered the vote of thanks.
