SportsSkill X Opens in Pune With Squash Courts, Sports Science and Data-Based Training
Shivajinagar, 15th October 2026: SportsSkill, a sports-tech and athlete development platform associated with the Chance2Sports Foundation, has opened SportsSkill X, its first physical high-performance centre, on the 16th floor of Infinity Business Park in Thube Park, Pune.
The facility features squash courts, strength and conditioning facilities, video and data analysis systems, and a dedicated recovery area. The organisers describe it as one of the highest squash facilities in India and Asia, owing to its location on the building’s 16th floor.
The centre was inaugurated by Geoff Davenport, a seven-time World Masters Squash Champion from Australia, who attended as the guest of honour. Rishad Pandole, a six-time national squash champion and businessman, was also present. SportsSkill co-founders Abhinav Sinha and Chetan Desai joined athletes, coaches, parents and members of Pune’s sporting and business communities at the inauguration.
The launch comes ahead of squash’s Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games. SportsSkill aims to combine technology-based performance tracking with on-court coaching and sports science to support athlete development.
Technology meets on-court training
SportsSkill has developed a digital platform that enables athletes to log training sessions, upload match footage and track their progress. According to the organisation, the platform has users across 10–12 cities, with more than 300 active users.
SportsSkill X is intended to connect this digital tracking with in-person training. Performance data and video analysis captured at the centre will be used to help coaches assess players and plan their development. The facility will also serve as a testing ground for new features on the SportsSkill platform.
The centre is built around four pillars: technology, expertise, performance and opportunity. In addition to squash courts, it includes facilities for strength and conditioning, performance analysis and recovery.
Coaching will be provided through Rolling Nicks Champions Gurukul, a coaching system led by Sinha, a former Asian Junior and World Junior Championship player and two-time national champion in the coaches’ category. Training will cover technique, fitness, nutrition and mental conditioning, with Fit2Sport serving as the performance partner.
Focus on grassroots talent
The centre’s location in Thube Park has a connection to Sinha’s earlier work in squash development. His previous initiative, Rolling Nicks Sports Foundation, established what the organisation describes as Pune’s first free squash court in the area in collaboration with squash enthusiast Yogesh Thube.
SportsSkill and Chance2Sports say athletes associated with their programmes have won national titles and secured high national rankings in junior categories. They have also represented India at the Asian Junior and World Junior Championships.
Among them is Pune’s Anika Dubey, who joined the programme at the age of 10 and recently won a silver medal at the Asian Junior Squash Championships, according to the organisation.
₹25 crore initiative to support young athletes
SportsSkill X will also serve as the high-performance training base for the Chance2Sports Foundation’s NextGen Super 30 initiative. The five-year programme, with a proposed outlay of ₹25 crore, aims to assess nearly 3,000 children from diverse backgrounds and provide 300 of them with elite-level training, irrespective of their ability to pay.
The foundation aims to develop athletes capable of winning international titles, including a World Junior Squash gold medal for India.
Abhinav Sinha, co-founder of SportsSkill and Chance2Sports, said the centre was intended to address the lack of access to specialised squash training that he experienced while growing up.
“SportsSkill X is the facility I wish I’d had at 12. Now a child from Pune, Kalamb or Assam can train in a space that matches anything in the world, with the data and coaching to back it up,” Sinha said.
Chetan Desai, co-founder of SportsSkill and Chance2Sports, said the centre would bring the organisation’s technology platform together with coaching and sports science.
“Merit, not money, will decide who walks onto these courts, and technology will decide how far they go,” Desai said.
Davenport said the combination of coaching, sports science and data analysis could help Indian players prepare for international competition as squash approaches its Olympic debut.
SportsSkill X is located on the 16th floor of Infinity Business Park, Thube Park, Pune.
