Pune Horror: Hotel Manager Doused in Petrol, Vehicle Set Ablaze

Katraj, 27th February 2025: In a shocking incident near Bharati Vidyapeeth, a group of miscreants attempted to set a hotel manager on fire by dousing him with petrol. The attack, which took place late at night, is the latest in a series of violent incidents in the city.

According to reports, a fight broke out between a group of 15 to 20 youths outside a hotel in the Bharati Vidyapeeth area. As the altercation escalated, the hotel manager, Amit Khaire, stepped outside and requested them to take their dispute elsewhere, urging them not to disturb his establishment. However, instead of leaving, the gang turned violent, brutally assaulting Khaire.

The situation took a more sinister turn when Khaire was on his way to Sassoon Hospital for medical treatment. The same group intercepted him on the road, accused him of planning to file a police complaint, and threw petrol on him in an attempt to set him ablaze. Fortunately, Khaire and his friend managed to escape, but the miscreants set his vehicle on fire.

This incident has sparked concerns over the rising criminal activities in Pune, with several groups attempting to instill fear in different areas. The Bharati Vidyapeeth police, stationed just a short distance from the scene, arrived at the location soon after. Based on Khaire’s complaint, a case has been registered against four to five individuals.

Speaking on the matter, Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Inspector Khillare assured that a thorough investigation is underway. He confirmed that efforts are being made to apprehend the accused at the earliest and that strict action will be taken against those involved.
