Pune: Kamal Chawla registers comeback win to win PYC Motilal Oswal Snooker Championship 2025
Pune, 14th March 2025: Kamal Chawla came back in the final frame to win 5-4 in a 3 hour 30 minute thriller to win the PYC Motilal Oswal Snooker Championship 2025 which is being hosted by PYC Hindu Gymkhana in cooperation with RCBC and Amanora Sports Club(The Furn).
In the Finals Kamal Chawla edged out Laxman Rawat 5-4(24-91(74), 40-93(69), 71-04, 56-39, 77-19, 67(66)-01, 19-72(61), 00-93(93), 80(68)-21) in a 3 hour thriller. The winner received trophy and Rs.85,000/-,while runner up got trophy and Rs.45,000/-. Apart from Highest Break Award winner Kamal Chawla got trophy and Rs.5,000/-. The prizes were given away by Mr. Ashish Shankar, CEO of Motilal Oswal Private Wealth, Mr. R Shankar, Mr. Rajan Khinvsara, Director of Manisha Construction and Ex president of BSFI, Mr. Kiran Samant of RCBC. Mr. Arun Barve and Mr. Salil Deshpande, tournament Directors, Mr. Rushi Ramayya of RCBC, Mr. Samar Khandelwal, Mr. Abhijit Ranade, Mr. Nishad Chaughule were present on the occasion.
