Sports Mania goes down to Mumbai City F.C, Loses third match in AIFF Sub Junior League
Pune, 14th March 2025: Sports Mania ran into tough opposition and suffered a tame loss – their first – in their AIFF Sub Junior League 2024-25 encounter at the Sports Mania Turf, on Wednesday.
Taking on Mumbai City F.C, after winning their first two games against DSouza F.C and Reliance Foundation Young Champs, Sports Mania suffered a setback, losing 5-0 to Mumbai City F.C.
At the Sports Mania Turf on Wednesday, Sports Mania lost their maiden match after beginning with two wins.
Sports Mania found themselves 0-1 in arrears when Mumbai City had Swayam Santosh Churmure (25th) score.
Five minutes later Mumbai City doubled the advantage when Hanzala Ansari (30th) netted (2-0).
Thereafter, Mumbai City dominated proceedings and added three more goals. Mohd Huzail Ansari (37th) made it 3-0, before Sports Mania unfortunately conceded a self-goal when Karthikeya turned out scorer.
Down 4-0, Mumbai City had Yaha Shaikh (70+6th) drive the final name and complete the tally 5-0.
