From Scribbles to Masterpieces: Pune’s Kids Bring Art to Life
Pune, 29th March 2025: The India Foundation for Creativity is set to unveil a one-of-a-kind art exhibition, “Magical Art Explorations,” showcasing the creative brilliance of Pune’s youngest artists. The exhibition, held on March 29-30 at Minimal Stroke Art Gallery, Baner, will feature imaginative works crafted by kindergarten students from Nursery to Senior KG across four esteemed schools in the city.
The event will be inaugurated at 10 AM on March 29 in the presence of special guests Dimple Rai (Co-founder, Bansuri Foundation), Nalini Sengupta (Founder, Vidya Valley School), and Dr. K. H. Sancheti and his wife. The exhibition will be open to visitors from 11 AM to 6 PM on both days.
Unlike conventional art exhibitions that often focus on technical perfection or competition, Magical Art Explorations places emphasis on authenticity and originality. Each artwork reflects the uninhibited imagination of young children, capturing their unique perspectives and storytelling abilities.
“The goal is to move beyond structured learning and encourage kids to create with freedom,” said Sonal Sancheti, Founder of India Foundation for Creativity. “Each artwork in this exhibition represents a child’s personal, magical interpretation of the world around them.”
Students from Vidya Valley School, Dr. Kalmadi Shamarao High School, Indus Early Learning, and The Green Turtle have participated in this Art Exploration Challenge, which encouraged them to express their ideas without restrictions.
Proceeds from the exhibition will contribute to arts-based initiatives in rural areas, expanding creative opportunities for underserved communities. The foundation aims to empower children in these regions by providing access to artistic expression as a tool for personal and social growth.
The India Foundation for Creativity believes that the arts—whether through drawing, music, drama, or theatre—play a transformative role in shaping young minds. Artistic exploration fosters critical thinking, emotional resilience, and self-expression, essential skills in today’s ever-changing world.
“We invite art lovers, educators, and parents to witness the boundless creativity of these young minds,” Sancheti added. “Let’s come together to celebrate the Magical Art Explorations of tomorrow’s dreamers and innovators.”
