Maharashtra: MPSC Candidates Awaiting Recommendation Letters for Bahujan Welfare Officer Post Even After Two Months
Pune, 2nd April 2025: The inefficiency of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has put candidates under significant mental, financial, and social strain. Despite being selected for the Bahujan Welfare Officer (Class 2) post under Advertisement 13/2023, they are still waiting for their recommendation letters.
MPSC released the final recommendation list for this post on January 28, 2025. However, two months have passed, and the candidates are yet to receive their appointment letters. This prolonged wait has left many job seekers frustrated and anxious.
Candidates selected for the Social Welfare Officer (Class 2) post from the same exam had their recommendation list published on March 4, 2025, and received their letters by March 17, 2025. In contrast, those selected for the Bahujan Welfare Officer post are still left in uncertainty, raising serious concerns. Additionally, many candidates have expressed distress over the delay. One individual remarked, “We have been waiting for two months with no updates. This uncertainty is making us anxious about our future.”
Job aspirants are also struggling with financial and social challenges. Many have called for MPSC to issue the recommendation letters promptly, as the uncertainty is taking a toll on their mental well-being. So far, MPSC has not provided any official explanation for the delay, leaving candidates in a state of confusion.
Meanwhile, the experts warn that such inefficiencies could diminish trust in MPSC and discourage future aspirants.
As frustration grows, candidates are urging MPSC to issue the letters without further delay. To prevent similar issues in the future, MPSC must ensure a transparent and timely selection process, reducing unnecessary stress for job seekers.
