Pune Weather Update: Pashan Hottest at 41.4°C Followed by Lohgaon, Koregaon Park

Pune, 6th April 2025: Pune district reeled under intense heat on Sunday, with several areas recording maximum temperatures above 40°C, according to data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Pashan emerged as the hottest spot in the district, recording a maximum temperature of 41.4°C, followed closely by Lohgaon at 41°C and Rajgurunagar at 40.5°C. Koregaon Park and Dhamdhere also crossed the 40-degree mark, registering 40.2°C and 40.0°C, respectively.

Other areas experiencing high temperatures included:

  • Shirur and Talegaon at 39.6°C
  • Chinchwad at 38.9°C
  • Baramati at 38.7°C
  • Hadapsar at 38.6°C
  • Girivan and Wadgaonsheri at 38.4°C

The Shivajinagar observatory, which represents Pune city’s official weather station, recorded a maximum of 38.2°C. Nearby areas such as Magarpatta, Ballalwadi, and Purandar hovered between 38°C and 38.3°C.

Cooler conditions were observed in Lavasa (35.9°C), Narayangaon (36.3°C), and Bhor (36.9°C), offering slight relief compared to the rest of the district.

With many areas breaching the 40°C mark, the experts have advised residents to:

  • Stay hydrated
  • Avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours
  • Wear light cotton clothing and use sun protection
