Pune, 15th April 2025: Around 40 passengers were left stranded at Goa’s Manohar International Airport on Sunday night after their FLY91 flight to Pune was delayed by nearly four hours.

The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 8:05 PM, was delayed until 12:20 AM on Monday, finally landing in Pune at around 1:15 AM. Ameya Kunte, who was traveling with his family, described the frustrating experience. “We received a message at 5:30 PM notifying us of a revised departure time of 11:45 PM. However, by that time, we were already at the airport since the original timing was 8:05 PM. The flight eventually left Goa after midnight,” Kunte said.

Kunte further mentioned that no refreshments were provided to the passengers during the extended wait. In response, a spokesperson from FLY91 clarified the situation, stating that snacks and beverages were made available to those stranded at the airport. “The FLY91 flight IC 1378 from Goa (GOX) to Pune (PNQ) was delayed by approximately three and a half hours due to a technical issue with the aircraft in Pune. To resolve the issue, a spare aircraft was deployed. We notified passengers about the delay three hours before the scheduled departure time, which was 8:05 PM. The flight departed Goa at 11:45 PM, and refreshments were served during the wait,” the spokesperson explained.

However, Kunte expressed further dissatisfaction after the flight’s arrival in Pune. “Once we landed, the trouble didn’t end. The airline should have arranged a coach to take us from the tarmac to the terminal, but there was none. We had to walk to the terminal while navigating through the busy tarmac, with vehicles moving around us. It was a chaotic and uncomfortable experience,” he said.
