Hinjawadi, 28th June 2025: Amid growing concerns over crumbling infrastructure at Hinjawadi IT Park, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Bhosari, Mahesh Landge has urged the Maharashtra government to take swift action. Calling the situation critical, Landge has appealed to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to hold a joint meeting with IT professionals and local representatives to find long-term solutions.

Hinjawadi, Pune district’s economic powerhouse, is battling poor road conditions, severe traffic congestion, inadequate public transport, and water and drainage problems. The #UNCLOGHinjawadiITPark campaign, launched to spotlight these issues, has already drawn support from over 25,000 citizens in just a few days.

In a meeting with the Wakad-Pimpri-Chinchwad Resident Development and Welfare Association, Landge proposed actionable steps, upgrading infrastructure, improving traffic flow, protecting green zones, and boosting coordination among agencies like MIDC, PMRDA, and PCMC. He promised to raise these matters in the upcoming monsoon session of the state assembly.

He also pushed for the long-pending merger of Hinjawadi and seven nearby villages into the PCMC and backed a new municipal corporation combining Chakan, Alandi, and Khed to ease pressure on PCMC and foster regional development.

Landge reaffirmed the government’s commitment to tackling core issues, traffic, sanitation, public health, and the environment, under CM Fadnavis’s leadership. The #UNCLOGHinjawadiITPark movement, he said, has gone beyond digital activism to become a force driving real policy and governance reforms.
