Major Reshuffle in Pune Police: Five New DCPs Appointed
Pune, 2nd July 2025: In a significant administrative overhaul, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar on Tuesday announced key transfers and appointments across the city police force, affecting five Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) positions.
Krushikesh Rawale, former Additional Superintendent of Police in Sindhudurg, has been appointed as DCP Zone 1. DCP Milind Mohite of Pune Police’s Special Branch will now take charge of Zone 2. Himmat Jadhav, who was handling Zone 4, has been given the responsibility of leading the Traffic Branch.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sandeep Bhajibhakare, formerly DCP at the Pune Police Headquarters, will now head the Special Branch. Somay Munde, DCP from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police, has been transferred to Pune and will take charge of Zone 4.
In another development, Rajlaxmi Shivankar from the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) has been appointed as DCP of the Pune Police Headquarters.
