Pune: Man Receives Nude Photos, Faces Rs 6 Lakh Extortion Threat in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 2nd July 2025: A 41-year-old man was blackmailed with nude photos and threatened with their circulation unless he paid Rs 6 lakh to the extortionists. The incident took place between 27th and 30th June in the Nehru Nagar area.
According to the police, unidentified individuals sent obscene photos of the complainant and his female friend to his WhatsApp and demanded money in exchange for not making them viral. The accused warned that if the payment wasn’t made, the images would be widely circulated.
A case has been registered at the Sant Tukaram Nagar Police Station against the holders of four unknown mobile numbers. Police Inspector (Crime) Gorakh Kumbhar is investigating the matter.
