VIDEET JADHAV SELECTED TO BECOME SUB-LIEUTENANT IN INDIAN NAVY
Pune, 14 July 2025 : Videet Vishnu Jadhav, age – 22 years, a resident of Lohegaon has been selected to join the Indian Navy. He is joining Indian Naval Academy today i.e. on 14 July 2025. He will be joining as Sub-Lieutenant. He will undergo a one year training, on completion of which he will be posted on one of the Ships. Videet is joining the NAIC (Naval Armament Iuspection Cadre) of the Indian Navy. He has undergone SSB training at Apex Careers, where he received guidance from Lt Col Pradeep Brahmankar.
Videet has done his schooling at Mount St. Patrick Academy, an ICSE school in Lohegaon. He scored 80.8% in X Board Exams. He did his junior College (XI & XII ) in Kolhapur and scored 79.2% in XII Board Exams. Videet did Engineering in Computer Science Engineering from Indira College of Engineering & Management, Pune. He has passed BE degree with 65.5% marks in June 2025.
Videet’s father Mr. Vishnu Kisan Jadhav works in Tata Motors Ltd. His mother, Mrs. Uttishta Jadhav is a homemaker. His younger brother, Adiraj is a student of XII class.
Videet is a football player and plays at Centre back position. He has been the Captain of his School as well as College Football teams. He has been in the Naval Wing of NCC for 3 years and has got the ‘C’ Certificate of NCC in ‘A’ grade.
Videet’s grandfather (mother’s father), Sub Maj Chandrakant Sambhaji Chavan has served in Corps of Engineers in B.E.G. (Kirkee )and retired as Subedar Major. He has been an inspiration for Videet. Since childhood Videet has a liking for Navy and the White Uniform. He is attracted to Navy because of the Warships.
Lt Col Pradeep Brahmankar (Retd), who is his mentor, said, “I know Videet for the last four years. After his 12th he had prepared for SSB of 10+2 TES of the Indian Army and 10+2 B. Tech. Cadet Entry of the Indian Navy. He did not give up and prepared again while studying in the final year of Engineering and qualified. He received joining Instructions just four days back. He is reporting Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala today. I am extremely happy for him, as he is a very capable and will prove to be a very fine officer.”
