Pune: Thief Leaves ‘F* You’ Message After Burglary at Sangeeta Bijlani’s Lonavala Bungalow

Lonavala, 19th July 2025: A burglary has been reported at a bungalow owned by actress Sangeeta Bijlani, wife of former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, located near Pawana dam in Tikona Peth, Maval taluka, Pune district.
The break-in reportedly occurred between the afternoon of March 7 and the morning of July 18, 2025. An FIR has been registered at Lonavala Rural Police Station under Pune rural police, invoking multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The complainant, Mohammad Mujeef Khan (54), who works as Azharuddin’s personal assistant, reported the crime to the police on Friday. The bungalow is located approximately 36 km south of the police station.
What Was Stolen
According to the complaint, the unknown intruder made away with:
₹50,000 in cash
One Hair Company television worth ₹7,000
The total loss is estimated at ₹57,000, as per the receipt provided.
How the Break-In Happened
The accused, whose identity remains unknown, reportedly:
Broke the back compound fence of the bungalow
Climbed to the first-floor gallery
Lifted the grill of the north-side window to gain entry
Once inside, the thief stole valuables and vandalized the property, including writing an obscene message—”FUCK YOU”—in spray paint on a sliding glass door in the gallery area.
Police Investigation Underway
A case has been registered under the following BNS sections:
331(3), 331(4) – House-breaking and trespass
305(a) – Intent to cause damage to property
324(4), 324(5) – Theft and mischief involving damage
Head Constable S.S. Bokad is leading the investigation under the supervision of Police Inspector Dinesh Tayde.
