Pune: Man Stabbed to Death in Parvati Darshan, Accused Nabbed on Satara Road
Pune, 21st July 2025: In a shocking incident on Monday morning, a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death inside his residence in the Parvati Darshan area of Pune. The deceased has been identified as Danish Siddiqui, who had been living in the locality for the past six months.
According to police, the incident occurred around 9:15 AM when an unidentified man, believed to be about 35 years old, entered Danish’s house and stabbed him in the neck before fleeing the scene.
Danish was immediately rushed to Harjeevan Hospital in Swargate, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Acting swiftly on a witness description, police teams tracked the accused to Satara Road. The suspect, identified as Dinesh Prabhakar Kshirsagar (35), a native of Yavatmal, was found with fresh bloodstains on his clothes and was taken into custody.
“The motive behind the attack is not yet known. The deceased’s brother and sister-in-law have stated they have no knowledge of the accused and believe he may have targeted Danish for unknown reasons. Further investigation is underway,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Sambhaji Kadam.
The police are probing all possible angles, including whether the attack was random or linked to a personal or past dispute.
