Driver Booked for Obstructing Traffic, Abusing Cop Over Illegal Parking in Pimpri
Pimpri, 27th July 2025: A case has been registered at Pimpri Police Station against a driver who not only parked two vehicles illegally near a road divider but also abused a police constable when asked to remove them. The incident took place on Friday afternoon near Bhola Hotel, along the stretch from K.S.B. Chowk to Thermax Chowk in Pimpri.
According to police officials, the driver had parked two vehicles in a manner that blocked traffic and created inconvenience for pedestrians and motorists. When Police Constable Amol Badak approached the accused and requested him to move the vehicles, the driver responded with verbal abuse.
“He refused to cooperate and said, ‘I am not removing the vehicles, do what you want to do, what right do you have to remove the vehicles?’ He then fled the scene after hurling abusive and incomprehensible language,” said a Pimpri police official.
Following the complaint filed by Constable Badak, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law pertaining to obstruction of public way and insulting a public servant on duty.
The Pimpri police are currently investigating the matter and efforts are underway to trace and take further action against the accused.
Authorities have once again urged citizens to park responsibly and cooperate with traffic enforcement personnel, especially in busy urban areas where unlawful parking can disrupt traffic and pose safety risks.
