“Reckless Romance on Wheels”: Pune Couple’s Obscene Act on Moving Bike Sparks Outrage, Police Begin Probe
Pune, 28th July 2025: A shocking video of a couple indulging in obscene behavior on a moving motorcycle in Pune has sparked widespread outrage across social media platforms and among city residents. The clip, reportedly captured in the Shindewadi–Khed Shivapur area, shows the young woman sitting on the bike’s petrol tank in reverse, facing the man as he rides, engaging in affectionate gestures without regard for safety or decency.
In the video, the woman is seen lying back, hugging the rider, while both appear completely oblivious to their surroundings. The biker, rather than focusing on the road, seems to participate in the act with ease, raising serious concerns about public safety and traffic violations.
The footage, recorded by another rider, has since gone viral. Reactions have ranged from fury over public obscenity to alarm over the dangerously irresponsible riding. “Is this what Pune has come to now?” wrote one angry netizen. Others demanded immediate police action for endangering public safety.
Following the backlash, Pune Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated efforts to identify the couple based on the viral video. Authorities have indicated that legal action may be taken against them under traffic violation laws and for indecent behavior in public.
