Maharashtra: Class 10, 12 Supplementary Exam Results Declared; Pass Percentage Improves for HSC, Dips Slightly for SSC

Pune, 29th July 2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced the results of the Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) supplementary examinations held in June-July 2025. While the HSC results showed a significant improvement in the overall pass percentage, the SSC results saw a slight dip compared to last year.

According to the official data released by the board, a total of 37,576 students appeared for the Class 10 supplementary exam, of which 13,709 students (36.48%) passed. This is marginally lower than the 36.78% pass percentage recorded in 2024 but still higher than 2023’s 29.86%.

In contrast, the Class 12 supplementary exam saw a notable rise in success, with 31,676 out of 73,554 students (43.65%) clearing the exam. This marks a steady increase from the previous years — 32.13% in 2023 and 32.46% in 2024.

The exams were conducted across nine divisional boards — Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan. The Class 10 exams were held between June 24 and July 8, while the Class 12 exams took place from June 24 to July 16.

Pune Division Performance:
In the Pune division, 7,671 students registered for the SSC exam, and 7,423 students appeared. Among them, 1,909 students (25.71%) passed, reflecting a pass percentage lower than the state average.

For the HSC exam, 16,015 students registered and 15,706 students appeared, of which 5,949 students (37.87%) passed. Though below the state average, this still marks a considerable improvement compared to previous years.
