Pune, 8th August 2025: An early morning fire broke out at Golden Bakery, located near Sutar Hospital in Kothrud, around 4:30 am on Friday. According to initial reports, six people trapped inside the bakery were rescued by local residents before the fire brigade arrived.

Five fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot and safely evacuated around 30 residents from the three-storey building above the bakery. Firefighters acted swiftly to remove six LPG cylinders from the bakery, preventing a possible explosion. The blaze was brought under control soon after, and no injuries were reported.

Officials said the timely action by residents and the fire brigade averted a major tragedy. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, though bakery fires are often linked to gas leaks or electrical faults.
