Jalgaon, 12th August 2025: In a gruesome case echoing the brutality of the recent Beed murder, 21-year-old Suleman Khan from Jamner taluka was allegedly abducted and mercilessly assaulted by a gang of 10–15 men. The attackers reportedly beat him at several locations using sticks, iron rods, and bare hands, inflicting fatal injuries.

Instead of rushing him to a hospital, the perpetrators allegedly transported Khan’s body back to his native village and abandoned it outside his house. They then attacked his parents and sister, injuring them as well, before fleeing. The incident has caused widespread anger and fear among residents.

Family members claim the killing followed a chilling pattern similar to the murder of Santosh Deshmukh in Beed. According to them, Khan was dragged into a four-wheeler, assaulted at three to four different spots, and then brought back to his village where his body was discarded. The attackers also barged into the house and thrashed his grieving family.

‘In-Camera’ Autopsy Request
Given the extent of the injuries, Khan’s relatives insisted on an “in-camera” post-mortem to ensure every wound was documented. The autopsy was conducted at Jalgaon District Hospital amid tight police security.

Demand for MCOCA Charges
The bereaved family has called for the accused to be prosecuted under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) to send a strong message against gang violence. They plan to submit a memorandum to State Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis through the District Collector.

Police have stepped up security in the region and initiated a search operation involving both the local police and the crime branch. While initial findings suggest a personal dispute may be linked to the crime, officials are withholding confirmation of the motive pending further investigation.
