Pune: Khadakwasla Dam Increases Discharge into Mutha River to 24,827 Cusecs
Khadakwasla, 19th August 2025: Authorities at the Khadakwasla Dam have announced an increase in water discharge from the dam’s spillway into the Mutha River. The outflow, which was earlier 19,334 cusecs, has been raised to 24,827 cusecs at 4:00 pm on Tuesday.
The Irrigation Department has cautioned that further changes in the discharge are possible depending on rainfall intensity and inflow into the dam. Residents and commuters along the riverbanks have been urged to remain alert and avoid venturing near the riverbed as water levels may rise suddenly.
The advisory was issued by Mohan Bhadane, Sub-Divisional Engineer, Mutha Canals Irrigation Sub-Division, Swargate, Pune.
