Pimpri Chinchwad: Talera Hospital Now Operational with 250-Bed Capacity, Advanced Medical Facilities

Pimpri, 27th August 2025: Talera Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad has become fully functional with a capacity of 250 beds, offering citizens a wide range of critical healthcare services under one roof. The hospital now has dedicated departments for gynecology, pediatrics and general medicine, along with a dialysis center, an intensive care unit (ICU) and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

PCMC officials said the expansion of facilities will significantly improve access to affordable and timely healthcare in the city. The gynecology department will provide comprehensive services for women, while the pediatrics unit will ensure specialized care for children. The general medicine department will handle routine and complex cases, with diagnostic and treatment services made available at full strength.

The newly opened dialysis center is expected to benefit patients suffering from kidney ailments, who previously had to depend on private hospitals for regular procedures. With modern equipment and trained staff, dialysis services will now be available at nominal costs in a safe environment.

The ICU has been set up with advanced medical infrastructure to handle emergency and critical cases, while the NICU will cater to premature and critically ill newborns with round-the-clock monitoring and specialized neonatal care.

PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said the move marks a major step towards strengthening public healthcare.

“Providing the best medical services to citizens is the corporation’s primary responsibility. With Talera Hospital now equipped with gynecology, pediatrics, general medicine, ICU, NICU and dialysis under one roof, it reflects our commitment to public health and medical security,” he said.

Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate said the hospital is evolving as a trusted medical hub for residents. “Talera is no longer just a secondary hospital but a dependable institution where citizens can expect quality treatment. PCMC will continue to expand and upgrade such facilities in the future,” he added.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Laxman Gophane said that with ICU, NICU and dialysis facilities available in one place, patients will no longer need to travel outside for treatment. “Supported by trained doctors, nurses and technicians, every patient will receive appropriate and timely care,” he said.
