PM Modi to Inaugurate Hadapsar, Baramati, Karad and Wathar Railway Stations in September Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme

Pune, 29th August 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Hadapsar, Baramati, Karad and Wathar railway stations in September 2025 under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS).
The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, launched by the Ministry of Railways in December 2022, aims at redeveloping 1,309 stations across India to transform them into modern, integrated transport hubs. Foundation stones for the redevelopment of these stations were laid in two phases on 6 August 2023 and 26 February 2024. The scheme emphasizes long-term development, multimodal integration, amenities for Divyangjans, sustainability, and future-ready infrastructure.
A total of 20 railway stations in Pune Division are covered under ABSS. Lonand and Kedgaon stations were inaugurated on 22 May 2025.
Hadapsar Railway Station
Budget: ₹24.86 crore
Scope of Work: Facade, portico, circulating area, COP and PF surface, seating facilities, toilet block, Divyangjan facilities, illumination, renovation, compound wall, second entry.
