Ganesh Visarjan: Pune Police Announce Traffic Diversions in Yerwada and Vishrantwadi
Pune, 5th September 2025: With over 103 Ganesh mandals scheduled to take out immersion processions in the Yerwada and Vishrantwadi areas today, Pune City Police have announced special traffic arrangements to ensure smooth movement and public safety.
According to the advisory, the processions will proceed along Gunjan Chowk, Parnakuti Chowk, and Tarakeshwar Chowk, and then onward to the Chima immersion ghat on the Pune–Nagar Road.
Police said traffic between Shadal Baba Chowk and Tarakeshwar Chowk will be regulated, and changes will be made as required depending on the crowd situation.
Alternate Routes:
Vehicles from Shadal Baba Chowk towards Tarakeshwar Chowk → diverted via Ambedkar Chowk – Golf Club Chowk – Shastrinagar Chowk – Nagar Road.
Vehicles from Tarakeshwar Chowk towards Shadal Baba Chowk → diverted via Parnakuti Chowk – Gunjan Chowk.
The Traffic Department has appealed to all citizens to cooperate by following the planned diversions, ensuring the processions are conducted smoothly and safely.
