Pune Traffic Police Issues Advisory for Ganesh Visarjan in Dhayari
Pune, 5th September 2025: The Pune City Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Ganesh immersion processions scheduled for Friday evening in the Sinhgad Road and Dhayari areas. Officials confirmed that 86 Ganesh mandals will participate in the processions, which will move through Narhe, Dhayari, Umbarya Ganpati Chowk, Ladli Chowk, and Dhayari Phata between 7:00 p.m. and midnight.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, vehicles including PMPML buses and four-wheelers will be diverted via Dhayari Phata – Nanded City Gate – Dalvi Phata. Special arrangements have also been directed for senior citizens and children using public transport during the event.
Appealing for public cooperation, DCP Himmat Jadhav, Traffic Department, Pune City, said, “We request all citizens to make use of the alternate routes provided between 7 p.m. and midnight. This will help us manage traffic effectively and ensure that the Ganesh immersion processions are carried out peacefully. Special instructions have also been given to PMPML to provide additional support for senior citizens and children.”
The advisory aims to reduce congestion and inconvenience to commuters while maintaining order during one of Pune’s busiest festival days.
