Pune: Over 15,000 Students Allotted Junior Colleges in ‘Open to All’ Class XI Admission Round
Pune, 9th September 2025: In the special ‘Open to All’ round of the Class XI admission process, a total of 15,320 students have been allotted seats in junior colleges across the state based on their preferences. Students who have been allotted colleges in this round have been granted an extension of the admission deadline until Wednesday, September 10.
The Central Online Admission Process, conducted by the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Department, oversees admissions to 9,544 junior colleges in Maharashtra for Class XI. So far, 13,15,962 students have secured admission.
In this ‘Open to All’ round, 4,437 students were allotted seats in the Arts stream, 3,979 in Commerce, and 6,904 in Science. On Monday, 3,579 students reported to colleges to complete the admission process. Of these, 3,218 were admitted under the general ‘CAP’ round, while 361 students were admitted under management and minority quotas.
Due to the declaration of a holiday in the Mumbai division on Monday, students selected in this round have been given extra time to complete their admissions, said Dr. Mahesh Palkar, Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
