Pune, 16th September 2025: In an effort to cultivate entrepreneurial skills among young learners, Tree House High School has launched an innovative project for its 10th standard students. The school is introducing students to the world of startups, encouraging them to design and develop their own business plans under the ₹10 lakh Startup Challenge.
Under the initiative, students are guided through every stage of creating a startup—from brainstorming ideas and structuring business models to preparing detailed financial projections and cost analyses. Students make their presentation of ideas they generate, and a detailed pitch is made to
Rajesh Bhatia, founder of Tree House High School.
The program aims to provide students with practical exposure to entrepreneurship, blending creativity with financial literacy. The project draws inspiration from the Government of India’s Startup India scheme, aligning with broader efforts to foster innovation and skill development among youth.
Bhatia emphasized the importance of nurturing individual passions alongside academics. “Success in a career is not limited to traditional professions like doctors or engineers,” he said. “If we love what we do and stay disciplined, that itself is success.”

Alongside the startup program, the school offers free career counselling sessions, helping students identify their true interests and strengths.
Known for his dedication to holistic education, Bhatia envisions producing confident, disciplined individuals who are equipped not just with academic knowledge, but with the mindset and skills to thrive in life.
“Our goal is to raise champions for the future, prepared to face challenges creatively and confidently,” he added.

With this initiative, Tree House High School is setting an example for how schools can go beyond traditional teaching methods, empowering students to think critically, innovate, and prepare for a dynamic, entrepreneurial world.
