Pune, 17th September 2025: Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase reviewed the ongoing land acquisition process for the proposed Pune Ring Road and directed officials to expedite the work. He instructed that proposals for acquisition and land measurement for Phases 1 to 4 be immediately submitted to the District Collector’s office.
The Ring Road project, considered crucial to reducing traffic congestion in Pune and surrounding areas, is being implemented in four phases. In addition, he assessed measures for traffic management near Navale Bridge, including land acquisition, shifting of water pipelines, and the installation of traffic signal systems. He instructed concerned departments to complete these works by October through coordinated efforts.
The review meeting was attended by Additional Metropolitan Commissioner Deepak Singla, Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Director of Development Permission and Planning Avinash Patil, Joint Commissioner of Land and Property Department Himmat Kharade, Superintendent of Land Records Department Asha Jadhav, Superintendent Engineer Shivprasad Bagdi, Land Acquisition Coordination Officers, and senior representatives from PMC, NHAI, PWD, and the National Highways Department.
