Pashan Records 140.6 mm Rain, Lohgaon 112.2 mm, Shivajinagar 97.4 mm; IMD Predicts More Showers for Pune

Pune, 19th September 2025: Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Pune district over the past 24 hours, with Pashan receiving the highest at 140.6 mm, followed by Lohgaon with 112.2 mm and Shivajinagar with 97.4 mm till 9 am on Friday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Other significant rainfall measurements include Kurvande (68.5 mm), Lavale (54.5 mm), Chinchwad (44 mm), Hadapsar (37.5 mm), Malin (29 mm), Magarpatta (29 mm), Haveli (20.5 mm), Dudulgaon (20.5 mm), Rajgurunagar (7.5 mm), Dapodi (6 mm), Baramati (5.8 mm), Nimgiri (4.5 mm), Daund (1.5 mm), and Talegaon (1 mm).

The IMD forecast for Pune indicates continued rainfall:
September 18: Generally cloudy sky with thunderstorms, lightning, and moderate to heavy rainfall.
September 19: Cloudy conditions with thunderstorms, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall likely.
September 20: Cloudy sky with thunderstorms, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall expected.
September 21: Generally cloudy with very light to light rainfall likely.
September 22: Cloudy sky with very light to light rainfall likely.

The weather office has urged citizens to remain cautious over the next two days as thunderstorms with lightning are expected. Commuters have also been warned about possible waterlogging in low-lying areas.
