Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced in Kondhwa for Half Marathon on September 21
Pune, 19th September 2025: In view of the upcoming half marathon scheduled to take place in Kondhwa Budruk on September 21, the Pune district administration has announced traffic restrictions and diversions to ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain law and order.
According to an official order issued by District Collector and District Magistrate Jitendra Dudi, the restrictions have been imposed under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
Traffic restrictions will be in force from 4 am to 9 am on September 21. During this period, vehicular movement on NH-65 and NH-965 via Dive Ghat towards Saswad will remain closed and diverted through alternative routes.
Heavy and large vehicles will be diverted via Saswad – Dive Ghat – Mantarwadi Chowk.
Light vehicles (four-wheelers) will be diverted via Saswad – Chambli – Garade – Mari Aai Ghat – Khed Shivapur route.
For regular traffic movement, commuters are advised to use the alternative routes: Saswad – Kondhwa – Pune, Saswad – Dive Ghat – Mantarwadi, and Saswad – Chambli – Garade – Mari Aai Ghat – Khed Shivapur – Katraj Ghat (for four-wheelers).
Authorities have appealed to motorists to cooperate and follow the diversions to avoid inconvenience during the marathon hours.
