Pune: Psychiatric Patient Jumps to Death from 11th Floor of Sassoon Hospital
Pune, 25th September 2025: A psychiatric patient identified as Vijay ended his life by jumping from the 11th floor of Sassoon Hospital in Pune on Thursday morning.
The patient had been admitted to Sassoon Hospital by the Railway Police on September 5 after he previously attempted suicide in front of a railway station. The admission was part of efforts to provide him with psychiatric care and prevent further self-harm.
Authorities confirmed that Vijay’s death occurred early Thursday, and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
