Pune Road Rage: Policeman Seriously Injured in Koyta Attack on Law College Road
Pune, 6th October 2025: A shocking attack on a policeman has raised serious concerns about the safety of law enforcement personnel in the city. Around 1 am, two individuals on a motorcycle assaulted Amol Katkar, a Crime Branch Unit-3 officer, with a scythe while he was returning home after completing his duty on Law College Road.
Katkar sustained serious injuries to the head and was immediately admitted to Sahyadri Hospital for treatment. Police officials confirmed that the case is under investigation. Early reports suggest the attack followed an argument over giving way to a motorcycle.
