Pune, 5th November 2026: A 22-year-old woman was arrested by the airport police for allegedly selling e-cigarettes, banned hookah flavours and cannabis under the guise of a cosmetic jewellery shop in Viman Nagar. Police raided her shop, Cloud Cartel, and seized e-cigarettes, banned hookah flavours, 130 grams of cannabis and other materials collectively worth Rs 2.17 lakh.

The arrested woman has been identified as Abhilasha Pankaj Ahirrao, a resident of Viman Nagar.

Police constables Hariprasad Punde and Lalu Karhe received information about the illegal sale of e-cigarettes and hookah flavours within the jurisdiction of the airport police station. Acting on the tip-off, they raided shop No. 9, Cloud Cartel, in Viman Nagar on November 3.

During the raid, police found e-cigarettes, banned hookah flavours and 130 grams of cannabis inside the shop and in the storage compartment of a motorcycle parked outside. The entire stock was seized.

Investigations revealed that Ahirrao allegedly took orders through mobile phones and sold the prohibited products. Police said she was targeting employees of IT companies, students of colleges and young people in the Viman Nagar area.

The woman had earlier operated a shop in the Deccan area, which she later shut down before opening the cosmetic jewellery outlet in Viman Nagar. Police said she allegedly used the new shop as a front for the illegal business.

A case has been registered against her under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the Electronic Cigarettes Prohibition Act, 2019, and relevant provisions of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.

The action was carried out under the guidance of additional commissioner of police Manoj Patil. Police are investigating the orders placed through mobile phones, the customers and the supply chain.
