Pune, 15th October 2025: Frustrated over unresolved civic issues in Kalas, Dhanori, and Lohgaon, Puja Dhananjay Jadhav and Dhananjay Jadhav staged a protest in front of Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram’s vehicle on Tuesday. The protest came after repeated submissions of grievances to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) failed to yield any solutions.

The protesters highlighted several pressing local concerns:

Roads planned under the 2008 Development Plan (DP) have remained incomplete for over 15 years. Immediate completion and operationalization of these DP roads was demanded.

Except for the main road and cement roads in Kalas, Dhanori, and Lohgaon, most local roads are in poor condition. Although complaints have been submitted, patchwork repairs have worsened the situation, leading to potholes that intensify citizen inconvenience during the monsoon.

Garbage accumulation has become severe, with at least 100 locations facing waste buildup daily. The PMC has largely ignored this problem.
Water supply in areas like Sathe Vasti, Nimbalkar Nagar, Mozhe Nagar, and Porwal Road is irregular, arriving only once every two days, despite installed pipelines. The issue has worsened over time.

The road from D.Y. Patil to Lohgaon remains under construction for months without completion, necessitating urgent action.
Several internal roads in the ward remain unfinished and require immediate development.

Citizens of Mayur Kilbil have faced persistent threats to safety due to unchecked local development issues, yet authorities have taken no action.

Protesters raised slogans such as, “Wake up, Wake up, Pune Administration Wake up!” and criticized the municipal authorities for being unresponsive.

Puja Dhananjay Jadhav warned that if the issues remain unresolved, more intense protests will be staged in the near future.
