Pune, 30th October 2025: The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune, has introduced a simplified and more convenient system for vehicle owners and drivers to pay compromise fees and settle inspection reports issued for traffic violations.

Deputy Regional Transport Officer Swapnile Bhasale said that ten Road Safety Teams have been deployed across the Pune region under the directives of the Transport Commissioner’s Office. These teams conduct regular inspections as part of road safety enforcement drives and take action against vehicles found violating provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and related rules.

The RTO informed that individuals who have received inspection reports can now make payments online through the official portal https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in. The initiative aims to minimize physical visits to the RTO and make the payment process faster and more efficient for citizens.

Bhasale clarified that personal visits to the RTO are not required in most cases. However, individuals whose inspection reports have been referred to court or those facing technical difficulties while making online payments are advised to visit the RTO’s Litigation Department in person.

The Pune RTO has appealed to citizens to make use of the online payment facility for timely settlement of penalties, helping avoid delays and contributing to smoother traffic management across the city.
