Pune, 9th November 2025: The Pune District Administration will re-examine all decisions and orders issued by Pune City Tehsildar Suryakant Yewle, who was recently suspended in connection with the controversial land transactions in Mundhwa and Bopodi, District Collector Jitendra Dudi said.

Collector Dudi confirmed that if any irregularities or suspicious elements are found during the re-investigation, strict administrative action will be taken.

The action follows revelations that about 13 acres of land belonging to the Agriculture Department in Bopodi had been wrongfully transferred to Amadea Enterprises LLP, which is owned by Parth Pawar, son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. After a detailed inquiry, Collector Dudi recommended Yewle’s suspension to the state government, which subsequently issued the suspension order on Thursday.

“Yewle has been suspended as he was found guilty in the land-related cases in Mundhwa and Bopodi (both land transferred to Amadea Enterprises LLP. A departmental inquiry is underway, and appropriate action—such as demotion, withholding of salary increment, or other disciplinary measures—will be taken based on the findings,” Dudi stated.

He clarified that the actual transfer of the disputed land did not take place, as the process of cancelling the orders issued by Yewle had already begun under the supervision of provincial authorities. “The crime was exposed even before it was completed, and immediate action was taken,” he added.

The Collector further said that Yewle’s suspension was necessary to prevent interference in the ongoing investigation, and all orders passed by him during his tenure as Pune City Tehsildar would now undergo verification.

The district administration has assured that any irregularities found during this comprehensive review will be addressed with firm disciplinary action.
