Pune, 11th November 2025: Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of the Konark Corps during Exercise Akhand Prahar, conducted as part of the Tri-Services Exercise Trishul. The exercise aimed to validate the Indian Army’s capability to conduct integrated, multi-domain operations in close synergy with the Indian Air Force.

The Army Commander witnessed combined arms manoeuvres demonstrating seamless inter-service coordination, refinement of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and the employment of next-generation battlefield technologies, including drones and counter-drone systems. The exercise also served as a live testbed for evaluating newly inducted platforms and indigenous innovations under realistic field conditions.

Lt Gen Seth also reviewed battlefield innovations developed by the Battle Axe Division and Konark Corps, which included indigenously produced drones, counter-drone equipment, and advanced force protection systems. These initiatives reflect the Indian Army’s growing focus on Atmanirbharta (self-reliance) and its commitment to fostering innovation at the formation level.

Commending the Konark Corps and Battle Axe Division for their innovative use of technology, adaptability, and high standards of operational readiness, the Army Commander highlighted that Exercise Akhand Prahar reaffirms the Indian Army’s focus on the JAI mantra — Jointness, Atmanirbharta, and Innovation. The exercise underscores Southern Command’s pivotal role in driving transformation through synergy, technology infusion, and mission-ready preparedness across the multi-domain battlespace.
