Army’s Southern Command Conducts Exercise Akhand Prahaar as Part of Tri-Services Exercise Trishul
Pune/Jaisalmer, 13th November 2025: The Southern Command of the Indian Army has successfully conducted Exercise Akhand Prahaar across the desert sector as part of the ongoing Tri-Services Exercise Trishul. The large-scale exercise demonstrated the operational readiness and combat capabilities of the Konark Corps in a realistic battlefield environment.
Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, reviewed the operational preparedness of the Konark Corps during the exercise.
The exercise validated the full-spectrum combat readiness of the formation through integrated employment of all arms and services — from mechanised and infantry manoeuvres to precision land operations by the Rudra Brigade, Special Heliborne Operations, and coordinated attack helicopter missions by Army Aviation.
Seamless synergy between the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force was a key highlight, with Fighter Ground Attack missions providing close air support to land forces.

Exercise Akhand Prahaar also served as a real-time testbed for next-generation indigenous technologies under combat-like conditions. The deployment of indigenous drones, unmanned systems, counter-drone mechanisms, and an advanced Electronic Warfare grid underscored India’s technological progress in line with the national vision of Aatmanirbharta in Defence.
The exercise reaffirmed the Konark Corps’ transformation into a modern, agile, and networked force — prepared for multi-domain, high-tempo operations of the future.
Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth commended all participating formations and units for their professionalism, innovation, and joint operational excellence, reflecting Southern Command’s ethos of Jointness, Technology Absorption, and Operational Excellence.
