Wagholi, 14th November 2025: The 2nd IEEE International Conference for Women in Computing (InCoWoCo 2025) was inaugurated at G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Pune, in collaboration with the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, IEEE Student Branch, and the IEEE Pune Section. The conference aims to promote research, innovation, leadership, and participation of women in computing and emerging technologies.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Dhanya Pramod, Director, Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology (SCIT), Pune, and Guest of Honour Dr. Meenakshi D’Souza, Professor and Head, CSE, IIIT Bangalore. Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director, GHRCEM Pune & Vice Chancellor, GH Raisoni International Skill Tech University, Distinguished attendees included Dr. Simran Khiani, HoD, Computer Engineering, GHRCEM, Dr. Rajashree Jain, General Chair, IEEE InCoWoCo 2025, Dr. Amar Buchade, Chair, IEEE Pune Section. The event also marked the release of the official Conference Proceedings.

This year, the conference received 832 research paper submissions, with 146 papers selected after rigorous peer review. The conference serves as a global platform for researchers, educators, and professionals to exchange ideas in AI, machine learning, IoT, data science, cybersecurity, and other transformative domains.

In her keynote address, Dr. Dhanya Pramod highlighted the rising leadership of women in computing and emphasized that while AI can generate creativity, it cannot replicate human emotions. She stressed the importance of strong AI-ML policies and the need for human oversight in technological advancements.

Dr. Meenakshi D’Souza delivered a technical keynote on Testing of IoT Applications on Cloud Platforms, focusing on performance, security, and real-time testing frameworks.

Dr. R. D. Kharadkar shared insights on GHRCEM’s innovation ecosystem, stating that IEEE conferences significantly strengthen student creativity, research aptitude, and global competitiveness.

The event was compred by Dr Vandana Dureja and Dr Sarika Khope, and Dr. Dimple Pal, Vice Chair, IEEE WIE AG Pune Section, proposed the vote of thanks.
