Pimpri-Chinchwad, 14th November 2025: In a major development in the Nitin Gilbile murder case, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have detained Amit Pathare, bringing both key suspects — Vikrant Thakur and Pathare — into custody.

Two days ago, Gilbile was shot dead inside a Fortuner car near Alankapuram Road in Vadmukhwadi. After the murder, both accused fled the spot. Police later detained Vikrant Thakur from Lonavala and arrested Amit Pathare from Wagholi.

According to preliminary police inputs, the crime appears to be linked to a dispute over land plotting and property dealings. With both suspects now in custody, officials believe the investigation will soon uncover the exact motive behind the killing.

Police are currently interrogating the duo. The action was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Shivaji Pawar, Maruti Jagtap, Assistant Commissioner of Police Vishal Hire, and Senior Police Inspector Pramod Wagh, with support from police personnel Swapnil Landge, Yogesh Nagargoje, Sudhir Dolas, and Nitin Lawate.
