Pune: Man Dies After Being Chased and Attacked by Four Men in Wadgaon Budruk
Wadgaon Budruk, 18th November 2025: A 23-year-old man was allegedly chased and brutally attacked by four assailants in the parking area of a residential complex in Wadgaon Budruk on Monday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Taukir Shaikh, a resident of Kondhwa.
Senior Police Inspector Dilip Dhaingade of Sinhagad Road police station said Shaikh had been involved in multiple cases in the past. “We are investigating the motive behind this incident. It appears there may have been some personal enmity, but nothing has been confirmed yet,” he stated.
According to the police, Shaikh had visited Tukainagar in Wadgaon Budruk with a friend around 3 pm. “As they stopped their motorcycle on the road, four men armed with sharp weapons reportedly charged at him. Shaikh tried to escape and ran into the parking area of a housing society,” Dhaingade explained.
The officer added, “The suspects caught up with him, pushed him to the ground, and threw heavy stones on his body. Despite the assault, he attempted to flee again, but they attacked him with sharp weapons.”
Shaikh was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. “A manhunt is currently underway for the four suspects involved in this attack,” Inspector Dhaingade said.
Police are appealing to residents in the area for any information that could help trace the attackers.
