Pune, 18th November 2025: Jehangir Wellness Centre (JWC) in Pune has become the first healthcare institution globally to integrate AI-based emotional assessments into preventive healthcare through its partnership with Emoscape, a medical-grade Emotion AI platform developed by Nihilent. The collaboration marks a significant step in linking emotional well-being with physical health, positioning India as a leader in human-centric healthcare innovation.

Through Emoscape, every visitor at JWC now has access to a non-invasive emotional scan that evaluates nine core emotions (the Navarasas): Raudra, Bhayanaka, Hasya, Shringara, Adbhuta, Bibhatsa, Shanta, Veera and Karuna. The 60-second, contactless assessment maps emotional intensities and trends. The results are then interpreted alongside physical health markers, providing insights into how emotional patterns may influence physiological symptoms or affect recovery.

By introducing emotional scans as part of routine wellness checks, Jehangir Wellness Centre is advancing a new model of early detection and preventive care, treating emotional health as an essential diagnostic component rather than an add-on.

Speaking at the launch, Lt. Gen. Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar (Retd), Former Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and former Dean of AFMC, said, “Medicine is not only about curing disease; it is about understanding the human being in totality. Emoscape brings scientific evidence to what we intuitively know — that emotional health is inseparable from physical health. This inauguration at Jehangir Wellness Centre is an important step in that direction.”

Cowas Jehangir, Trustee, Jehangir Hospital, said, “We have always believed that true wellness lies in understanding the connection between mind and body. Integrating AI-driven emotional assessment into our holistic care is another milestone in progressive healthcare.”

L. C. Singh, Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of Nihilent, added, “Our mission has always been to humanise technology and make innovation serve life. Emoscape was born from the belief that the mind and body are one system. Seeing it now become part of healthcare, helping doctors and patients connect emotional patterns with physical well-being, is deeply rewarding.”

Vinod Sawantwadkar, CEO of Jehangir Hospital, said, “Emoscape represents the next frontier in integrative healthcare. It bridges emotional awareness with medical insight, giving us a more complete understanding of each individual’s health journey.”

JWC positions itself as a centre for holistic wellness, focusing on body, mind and soul through comprehensive health packages, allied therapies and now, Emotion AI-integrated care. At the centre, Emoscape data is used alongside medical reports to create a holistic view of the patient and determine suitable interventions. The initiative is already attracting diverse age groups — from professionals facing burnout and adolescents dealing with identity-related stress to senior citizens coping with loneliness and wellness seekers looking to build resilience.
Each emotional scan is confidential and follows stringent data-privacy standards.

This launch also marks Emoscape’s first institutional partnership in the healthcare sector. The platform has been tested across healthcare, learning, sports and corporate environments, and its integration at JWC is expected to pave the way for wider adoption in hospitals and clinics. By including Emoscape in its formal wellness protocols, Jehangir Wellness Centre is promoting a more empathetic, evolved model of care where emotional well-being becomes central to healing.

The collaboration between Nihilent and Jehangir Wellness Centre also puts Pune on the global innovation map, highlighting a future of healthcare that combines cutting-edge technology with a reimagined, human-focused approach to well-being.
