Pune, 29th November 2025: The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) has supported more than 2,500 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across 35 districts in Maharashtra through its dedicated helpline launched last year. The initiative assists entrepreneurs with critical business processes, including setting up a unit, accessing finance and navigating regulatory procedures.

A panel of 55 specialists fields queries and provides personalised guidance to callers. “Our experts spend considerable time — often over an hour — addressing each case and handholding businesses through different stages,” said MCCIA Director General Prashant Girbane.

In a parallel effort, MCCIA has also established an artificial intelligence (AI) studio to help smaller enterprises integrate advanced technology into their daily workflows. So far, around 350 MSMEs have tapped into the facility, with micro businesses accounting for nearly 80 per cent of the users.

Girbane said the chamber visited several interior regions to assess technology awareness among small entrepreneurs. “We engaged with more than 1,000 MSMEs and helped them adopt practical AI solutions — whether it was developing simple apps for transporters to monitor their fleet or automating payroll functions in manufacturing units,” he added.

Businesses seeking support from MCCIA can reach the helpline at +91 83088 09334.
