Truck Hits Six Cars on Satara–Pune Highway in Khambatki Ghat
Satara, 7th December 2025: In Khandala, a speeding truck rammed multiple vehicles on the Satara–Pune highway, while a car plunged into a deep ravine in Nashik’s Saptashrung Gad Ghat, leading to six fatalities.
According to police, the first incident occurred on the Pune-bound lane of Khambatki Ghat near the canal fork after the tunnel. A truck, moving at high speed, lost control on the S-shaped bend and hit six four-wheelers one after another. All the vehicles suffered extensive damage.
Fortunately, none of the occupants suffered serious injuries. A few drivers sustained minor wounds and were taken to a rural hospital in Khandala for treatment. The truck driver allegedly fled the spot immediately after the collision. An FIR has been registered, and police are investigating the case, including efforts to trace the unknown truck.
