Pune, 9th December 2025: Flight operations at Pune Airport remain largely stable despite a series of cancellations by IndiGo over the past two days, Airport Director Santosh Dhoke said on Tuesday.

Providing the latest status, Dhoke informed that out of 57 scheduled IndiGo departures for December 9, a total of 48 will operate as planned, while seven departures have been cancelled due to internal airline issues. “Airport operations are normal. Only select IndiGo flights have been cancelled. All other airlines are operating as per schedule,” he said.

According to the data released for December 8, Pune Airport handled 11,812 arriving passengers and 11,561 departing passengers between 00:00 hrs and 22:30 hrs IST. A total of 74 arrivals and 72 departures took place across seven airlines, reflecting normal operational capacity.

Airline-wise movement on Monday included Air India (7/7), IndiGo (33/32), SpiceJet (5/5), Air India Express (13/12), Akasa Air (8/8), Star Air (4/4), and Fly91 (4/4). IndiGo accounted for 15 arrival and 17 departure cancellations, while no other airline reported cancellations.

Dhoke clarified that apron and parking facilities are functioning at full capacity. “All ten aircraft parking bays are fully available. There is no IndiGo aircraft or any other aircraft occupying bays due to operational issues,” he said, dismissing speculation of grounded aircraft blocking infrastructure.

He added that there has been no disruption in arrivals, departures, terminal processing, passenger handling, or airside movement. Coordination between airport authorities and airlines is ongoing to ensure smooth services for passengers.
