Khadakwasla, 12th December 2025: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) will carry out major electrical conduit installation work in Shivne this weekend, prompting a temporary road closure between Maruti Mandir, Shivne and Nanded Bridge. The stretch will remain shut for all types of vehicles from 10 pm on Saturday, December 13, to 6 am on Sunday.

According to the MSEDCL’s Shivne Assistant Engineer, the new underground electricity conduit is being laid to improve power supply in Shivne, Warje, Kondhave-Dhawade, Uttamnagar, New Kopre and surrounding villages. The department has appealed to citizens to use alternative routes during the work period.

Officials confirmed that drainage repair at Vijayanagar Naka has been completed, and the upcoming task will involve cutting the concrete road and installing the new electrical line. As the road is narrow, barricades will be placed on both sides of the work area to ensure safety.

Residents and motorists from Shivne, Warje, Kondhave-Dhawade, Uttamnagar, New Kopre, Nanded, Khadakwasla, Dhayari and Kirkatwadi have been advised to plan travel accordingly. MSEDCL said the advance notice aims to minimise inconvenience, and sought the cooperation of citizens to complete the work smoothly and strengthen electricity supply in the region.
